APP Autism

About the Organisation

APPAutism is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping young adults, 18 years and older, with moderate to severe autism live a happy and fulfilling life. By focusing on behavioural and skills development, APPAutism enables them to reach their full potential and to integrate more smoothly into society. All of our programs follow the principle of life-long learning in a supportive environment, taking into account the individual development needs and interests of each member. We cater to a range of abilities along the autism spectrum, from non-verbal, moderate to severe autism, to verbal with some reading and writing abilities. Our high staff-to-member ratio allows us to cater to each individual members’ strengths and challenges.

What They Do

1

Day Centre Program

This program offers daily meaningful activities and interactions, with the aim of allowing our members to develop the skills needed to achieve a good quality of life.
2

Residential and Respite Facility

This option provides a community-based, non-institutionalised, inclusive environment that caters to our members’ every need. This, combined with our day centre, provides a full, round-the-clock service to our members and their families.

Get Involved

Donate or Give Resources

Individuals can get involved through donations of resources. Contact us to find out more. We need resources such as books, games, puzzle activities, iPads, etc. The provision of computers and iPads remains a priority. iPads are an excellent resource for people with Autism as they are very visual learners, and there are many communication systems which run as apps on iPads.
